We stayed busy visiting the sites around Asheville. The first day, we went to Chimney Rock park and did some hiking (mostly climbing stairs). The options were to take an elevator to the top of Chimey Rock, or hike the stairs they have made. We chose to hike the stairs...then we hiked a trail to a 400 foot waterfall. It was really beautiful!
There were definitely more stairs that what you see here in this picture. It was about 30minutes of stairs actually. :)
The second day we went to the Biltmore Estate. I wonder how many people have joked about this being their house? Wouldn't that be crazy if you lived in this thing? It was well worth the visit!
The third day, we took a drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway. We drove it all the way to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We honeymooned in Pigeon Forge, TN and visited this same spot. It was fun to be back 2 years later.
