One has the bow, one has the arrow. Either will give the other to his brother, both want both parts. It's hard learning how to share.

He's a runner
I am so proud of my husband. If only he wasn't so fast that I couldn't get to the finish line. :). Next time I need to get to the race before it starts. :).

Easy blogging and Thursday's
I recently discovered that I could get an app on the iPad that might make it more convenient for me to blog. I almost always wish I could blog...instead I use Facebook way too much because it's just easier. However, it is much easier to look back at things when I the blog world. So...I think I am gonna try to start recording more through my blog.
On Thursdays, Andrew has preschool in the morning, then I have just enough time to pick him up and get Asher home for the van to pick him up for school. That means lunch is easiest on Thursday's if I can feed everyone in the van while driving. I know some families that don't allow food and drink in their vans/cars, which would help it to stay clean, but at this point in my life it's not what works for us. I usually leave a little early for picking up Andrew, then drive through Runza and dole out the fries and corn dogs before going to pick up Andrew. I also know its not the healthiest option, but again, it's the convenience that's I am looking for on these days. If you have easy lunch options for small kids on the go, please, send them my way.

Around here this past week...
The boys just can't keep their hands off each other. It's both frustrating and endearing at the same time.

One Thousand Gifts
I'm going to be part of a book club. I first read this author's blog "A Holy Experience" there is SO much to read on this blog and it always points me to the ONE I should be thinking about, the ONE I should be praising, the ONE I should be thanking.
My book is on the way, although I already read most of the first chapter on Amazon when I was ordering the book. I was guided to "A Holy Experience" from another blog that also points me to God. Today, I read a blog that I agree with 100%. Sometimes it's hard for me to know how I will react when I have to go through a really hard time. I have to believe that I am also in this time of training. I have to know how much God gives, how much he loves. Then, when hard times come, I will know.
I am so looking forward to this book club. If you know me, you know it's not like me much to join a book club, but there's something different about this book.

the land of abundance
Yes, I know, we just had Christmas. It's not really the time to be buying toys in abundance. We are SO blessed in the United States to have way more than we need and want. I was just complaining on facebook the other day that I don't have enough storage space in our small house. I was feeling cramped with all of the toys the boys got for Christmas. Somehow when I leave the house and enter the wonderful world at walmart - or any store - I forget about my storage woes at home, and just can't pass up the unbeatable prices! In my defense, every toy I bought will act as a gift at some point, and they are not all for my boys. I purchased birthday gifts for my 3 nephews and 1 niece also. I also came clean with the purchases immediately when I saw my husband! Are you dying to see the breakdown of what I bought? I thought so....
Karate Chop Buzz Lightyear $6.25
Burger Bulider Play-Doh $2.75
Cars Color Changing Ramon Station $5.00
Princess Leapster Game $6.22
(yes, it's for Asher, but at that price, I'll let him play with the disney princesses)
Hook and Ladder Lego set $3.75
Hello Kitty Key Chain $1.25 (it's not too early to think of the operation christmas child boxes for next year!)
Strawberry Shortcake Roadster $3.75
Cars Laptop $8.74 (I feel the need to tell you that the price on this was $34.96! can you believe what a good deal that is? Asher got a mickey mouse laptop for christmas, but he won't get this one until July, and 2 play laptops can't be that bad, right?)
Mega Blocks set $4.97
Cars (set of 4) $2.50
Color Changing Mater $1.50 (ok, I confess, this wasn't on sale, but the guy at walmart was on a roll, so I just didn't stop him, when he took 75% off) :)
4th of July hot wheels $.50
Toy story magic pen book $1.25
Lego set small truck $1.25 (again for Operation Christmas Child)
I bought 2 other things: the reason I went to walmart was to get contact solution, which I did get for $2.84, and I bought a package of holiday cups for $1.25.
SO...including those two things as well. my total today at walmart was $57.53! Not bad for birthday gifts for 6 kids!! even if I divide it all out, it's less than $10 per kid. Now, I just told my husband that he needs to make sure to remind me when june, july and august come around that I'm not allowed to buy any new gifts!
Now, where to store these things?
